Las Vegas, NV – Powerful winds are expected to sweep across Southern Nevada beginning early Monday, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a High Wind Warning for the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the warning takes effect at 8 a.m. Monday and will remain in place until 2 a.m. Tuesday. Southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph are forecast, with gusts reaching 55 to 65 mph across the Las Vegas Valley, Spring Mountains, Red Rock Canyon, and areas of Western Clark and Southern Nye counties.
