LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A heartfelt message from a late husband is inspiring others to take action against colon cancer. Don Refuerzo, a 46-year-old colon cancer awareness advocate, shared his journey in a video before he passed away, urging people to get checked for the disease. “Top of God’s morning, loved ones!” he said in the video, recorded after dropping his kids at school. “I’ve been rocking and fighting this stage 4 colon cancer.”
His wife, Jessica, discovered the video shortly after his death. “It was really hard to see him that way, to see him struggling,” she said. “I feel like he wanted to express what he was going through and let everybody know, get checked.”
Despite undergoing 12 rounds of chemotherapy, Don’s cancer spread to his liver and lungs. Jessica remembers him fondly for his “goofiness, him doing pranks and being silly with the kids,” and his love for classic cars and videography…
