Trial underway for Las Vegas jail fight involving Tupac murder suspect ‘Keffe D’

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A trial began Wednesday on charges connected to a jail fight involving the man accused of orchestrating the murder of Tupac Shakur.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 61, who faces a murder charge in Shakur’s death, has publicly said he was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car involved in the 1996 murder near the Las Vegas Strip. Last December, Davis was involved in a fight inside the Clark County Detention Center with another inmate, video showed.

Prosecutors later charged Davis with battery by a prisoner and challenging a person to a fight. They will have to prove the fight with Rochlon Hamilton, 53, another inmate in custody on a murder charge, was not self-defense…
