Plane Forced to Make Emergency Landing South of Las Vegas, Minor Injuries Reported

Early this Sunday morning, a small plane encountered mechanical issues and was forced to make an unscheduled descent south of the Las Vegas Valley. The aircraft, which took off from Henderson airport, managed an emergency landing along Las Vegas Boulevard, as reported by FOX5 Las Vegas. The plane came to rest at mile marker 13, near Jean, where dense traffic on the thoroughfare prompted the pilot to ditch beside the road.

Among the four souls on board—the pilot and three passengers—one individual was injured during the incident. The party was promptly attended, and the injured was whisked to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Nevada State Police responded to the mishap right before 8:40 a.m., as detailed by FOX5 Las Vegas.

The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD), who also reported to the scene, found the single-engine aircraft in a condition indicative of a low-impact crash. It seems the plane had trouble maintaining altitude which necessitated its off-field touchdown, according to a statement obtained by 8 News Now…
