Experts urge Las Vegas valley used car buyers to hold off

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Carfax experts advise Las Vegas valley residents to wait on purchasing a used car, as prices have increased.

Carfax data shows a nationwide surge in used car prices and demand, and according to EM Nguyen with Carfax, Southern Nevada is no exception.

“In the west region, which includes Nevada, we are seeing an increase in the vans and minivan prices and SUV prices. Anywhere between 2.4 and 2.9 percent in March compared to February,” Nguyen said. “If you are looking for a van, let’s say you pay on average about 30,000 dollars, you’ll be paying an extra $800 to $850.”…
