High-Speed Crash on University Center Drive in Las Vegas Leads to Critical Injuries and Multiple Hospitalizations

A multi-car collision on University Center Drive south of E. Harmon Avenue resulted in critical injuries and multiple hospitalizations on Wednesday. The crash occurred when a 2023 Hyundai Elantra, traveling at high speed, failed to stop and collided with several vehicles at a red light, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

A crash involving seven vehicles occurred when a Hyundai Elantra hit a 2022 Ford Transit Van, which then struck a 2022 Dodge Charger. The incident also involved a 2019 Toyota Camry, a 2022 Tesla Model 3, a 2022 Toyota Highlander, and a 2017 IRIZA Tour Bus. The driver of the Hyundai, 42-year-old Nicole Chauvet from Henderson, NV, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sunrise Trauma.
