Elementary School Teacher Accused Of Throwing Rocks At Student

A Las Vegas elementary school teacher is facing charges after allegedly throwing rocks at a student and engaging in a physical altercation. The incident occurred on April 24 at Red Rock Elementary School, where Alicia Fletcher worked as a specialized programs teacher assistant. According to the Clark County School District Police Department, the student, who has health conditions, sustained bruises on his eye.

The altercation began when the student threw pebbles at Fletcher, who then reportedly retaliated by throwing pebbles back . The situation escalated into a physical struggle, with Fletcher allegedly holding the student down and using her legs to restrain him. Campus security eventually intervened, and police documented the student’s injuries with photographs.

Fletcher, 31, was arrested on suspicion of attempted child abuse and battery and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on April 25.
