A tragic multi-vehicle accident in Las Vegas has resulted in the city’s 61st traffic-related fatality of the year. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that, following a crash on University Center Drive on Monday, the driver of a Hyundai Elantra involved in the incident succumbed to her injuries at Sunrise Hospital on Sunday, despite extensive life-saving efforts.
The initial collision, which led to critical injuries and multiple hospitalizations, involved seven vehicles; a speeding Hyundai Elantra failed to stop at a red light, as per Hoodline’s reporting, and subsequently struck several vehicles including a Ford Transit Van, a Dodge Charger, and continued its unintended violent ballet, ricocheting to impact a Toyota Camry, a Tesla Model 3, a Toyota Highlander, and an IRIZA Tour Bus.
