LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Last August a valley man drowned in Lake Mead after a sudden storm knocked him off his paddleboard.
Greg Bell was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
Now Serena Bell is teaming up with the Assistance League of Las Vegas to raise awareness that free life jackets are available at Lake Mead.
“One of the biggest factors on that is the unpredictable weather there. The weather changes like this (snaps) and that’s what happened to us that day. It was a beautiful day and we got caught in a storm and this is one of the biggest reasons this happens at Lake Mead.” said Serena Bell, Widow of Drowning Victim…
