3 cases of Legionnaires’ disease tied to resort in Southern Nevada, health officials say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Health officials are investigating three cases of Legionnaires’ disease involving travelers who stayed at Harrah’s Laughlin in May, according to a Thursday news release.

Samples taken at the resort tested positive for Legionella, the bacteria that can cause Legionnaires’ disease, according to the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD).

Guests who stayed at the resort on or after May 1, 2025, and who developed or are experiencing symptoms within 14 days of their stay are urged to complete a confidential illness survey, at https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8370305/Harrah-s-Legionella-Investigation.
