Las Vegas was the scene of a vehicular crash yesterday, where a motorcycle and a truck collided at the intersection of Southern Highlands Parkway and Shinnecock Avenue, leaving one individual with critical injuries. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s (LVMPD) announcement, the incident occurred around 3:17 p.m. when a motorcycle ran a red light and was struck by an oncoming truck.
Reports provided by the LVMPD note that a 2019 Ram 2500, towing a utility trailer, was obeying the traffic signals while attempting a left turn. Simultaneously, Avyonte Webb, age 26, operating a 2016 Jiangsu Baodiao street bike, with the traffic light observing him in the steady red, proceeded to cross the intersection and was ultimately struck. The collision pinned the motorcycle under the trailer and ejected Webb, resulting in his severe injuries and following hospitalization at the UMC Trauma Center.
The driver of the Ram truck, identified as 56-year-old James Puentes, remained at the scene and fully cooperative during the investigation. Brandon Hill, age 35, a passenger in the truck, along with Puentes, reported no injuries. Authorities confirmed that Puentes showed no signs of impairment following the accident…
