Las Vegas man shoots and kills four people in Midtown Manhattan

NEW YORK (KTNV) — At least four people, including an off-duty NYPD officer, were shot and killed in Midtown Manhattan in New York City on Monday evening by a Las Vegas man, according to New York City authorities.

In total, five people were shot, with one in critical condition, said New York City Mayor Eric Adams in a press conference on Monday. Four other victims are being treated for minor injuries after attempting to flee the scene.

“Five innocent people shot tonight. We lost four souls to another senseless act of gun violence, including a member of the New York City Police Department, Officer Islam,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
