North Las Vegas police shoot, kill man they say charged at them with knife

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — North Las Vegas police officers shot and killed a man who charged at them with a knife after they responded to a domestic disturbance call.

On Friday, Aug. 8, at around 1:43 p.m., officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3100 block of Emmons Avenue, near East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Pecos Road.

The incident was between a man and a woman who police said were family members.

Arriving officers found a man armed with a knife and gave him “multiple” commands in both English and Spanish to drop the knife and surrender…
