Las Vegas valley bus riders trying to stay cool in the heat

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — With a hot few days in the forecast, bus riders in the Las Vegas valley are doing what they can to stay cool, and the scorching temperatures aren’t stopping tourists from having fun.

John Fadhl and his wife were in Las Vegas for a quick getaway and chose to take the bus around town, saying they’re familiar with the Las Vegas valley heat.

“So we took the 109 to downtown, walked around Fremont street, then we took the deuce back, and now we’re going to take the CX back home,” Fahdl explained. “So we’re from Sacramento, and when we left town, it was 100 degrees, but the humidity there is much higher than it is here. So I find that very interesting. I’m sweating now, so I’ll go into where there’s air conditioning and I’ll cool down. I’ll walk through the casinos, get hot again, walk outside, and get blasted by dry air, and it takes the sweat off, so it’s a love/hate relationship.”…
