LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The North Las Vegas Police Department is collaborating with law enforcement agencies across Nevada for a statewide Joining Forces high-visibility enforcement campaign focused on pedestrian safety.
Running from September 5 through September 22, the initiative aims to reduce pedestrian-involved crashes through increased enforcement and public education.
Officers from the Traffic Division’s Motors Unit will conduct enhanced enforcement operations targeting violations that endanger pedestrians, such as failure to yield, speeding in pedestrian-heavy areas, and distracted driving.
