Park rangers investigate assault at Lake Mead campground; suspect considered armed and dangerous

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — United States Park Rangers are looking for witnesses to an assault in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Police said the suspect is outstanding and considered armed and dangerous.

The incident, which rangers called an assault with a deadly weapon, occurred on Sept. 2, according to a release.

Rangers said a park visitor was assaulted by another camper while in the Las Vegas Bay Campground. The victim called 911, and the other camper, identified as Guy Miranda, 57, fled into the desert…
