Las Vegas police and non-profit host youth conference at Historic Westside School

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department teamed up with the non-profit organization Al-Maun Neighborly Needs to host a Youth Conference on Saturday at The Historic Westside School.

The event was designed for young people aged 13 to 20 and featured workshops focused on critical thinking and study skills.

Sergeant Ryan Rafferty has been with the police department for 20 years. When asked why an event like this is important, he says, “It’s awesome. I’m in the Officer Community Engagement, and for us it’s about giving back.”…
