Truckee Gaming LLC, a Reno-based company that currently operates ten local casinos throughout Nevada, has recently made moves to revitalize The Poker Palace, a longstanding North Las Vegas casino. The company plans to overhaul the casino with a complete renovation, bringing a fresh theme to the property, as confirmed by company officials. The establishment, located on Las Vegas Boulevard North, just south of Cheyenne Avenue, is expected to suspend operations for this anticipated rejuvenation.
In an interview given to 8 News Now, representatives from Truckee Gaming laid out extensive plans, which include a fully remodeled interior, an expanded kitchen to serve a new quick-serve restaurant, increased seating for diners, and a larger bar layout. The renovation aims not only to refurbish the aging property but also to realign its strategy to attract a broader clientele. Approximately 126 employees are expected to face permanent layoffs with the property’s temporary closure beginning October 1.
According to details shared with News3LV, the remodeling will also feature new back-of-house spaces, cohesive with the casino’s fresh theme.
