LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A unified contract worth about $25 million for The Animal Foundation will be up for a possible vote this week in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Clark County.
The four-year contract — plus funding for services so far this year — is on the Tuesday agenda for Clark County, and the Wednesday agendas for city councils in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. The contract contains language allowing for the governments to opt out each year.
Clark County’s description of the arrangement includes a breakdown on the percentage each government is paying under the contract:
- 43.26% — Clark County
- 39.40% — City of Las Vegas
- 17.34% — North Las Vegas
