Henderson police target distracted drivers issuing hundreds of tickets

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Henderson police made 521 stops during a four-week campaign aimed at saving lives on local roadways.

The Joining Forces campaign ran from Aug. 4 to Sept. 1 and resulted in the following citations:

  • 251 speeding citations
  • 50 violations related to distracted driving
  • 38 intersection violations
  • 39 citations for other traffic-related offenses

The Henderson Police Department received $179,000 in federal funding to conduct enhanced enforcement initiatives for the 2025 Joining Forces program. The program aims to raise awareness about the dangers of reckless driving.
