NORTH LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A North Las Vegas resource center is expanding its women’s health services and focusing on Spanish-speaking families through a new partnership that brings medical care directly to those who need it most.
Hope Christian Health Center is expanding its women’s health services by bringing medical care directly to Spanish-speaking families who face barriers to accessing healthcare. The initiative addresses the unique challenges many Hispanic women encounter when trying to prioritize their own health.
“Oftentimes, the people in the Hispanic community will prioritize caring for their family members over themselves,” said Myles Adamson, chief operating officer at Hope Christian Health Center. “And so we really wanted this program to reach them and to identify that their health is important as well.”
Comprehensive services at no cost
Through their Mujeres Fuertes program, women will be able to receive cervical cancer screenings, HIV and STI testing, and family planning services, all provided at no cost and tailored to the needs of the Hispanic community…
