Las Vegas construction contractor gets probation but must pay restitution to victims

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas contractor accused of defrauding homeowners will get probation after making an initial payment of $55,000 in restitution before his sentencing.

Steven Adinolfi, owner of S & E Contracting, doing business as Made in the Shade, was arrested in June on 21 felony counts of defrauding homeowners after numerous complaints were filed in 2023 by homeowners who g ave Adinolfi more than $350,000 for work that wasn’t completed.

As part of a plea deal, Adinolfi was found guilty of engaging in fraud and deceit while conducting business. He was given a 36-month probation that requires him to work full-time and pay the remaining $294,457 in restitution, which includes court fees. However, if he fails to fulfill the requirements, he will have to serve a prison sentence of 2-8 years, according to a news release from the Nevada Contractors Board.
