Food Distribution Events Available for North Las Vegas Residents During SNAP Pause

The City of North Las Vegas is responding to a pause in federal SNAP benefits by partnering with Three Square Food Bank and The Just One Project. These organizations are holding temporary food distribution events at city facilities. The goal is to help residents facing food insecurity until SNAP benefits return. Several locations and schedules are available for the community.

The Dolores Huerta Resource Center at 1737 Hunkins Dr. hosts The Just One Project distributions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Three Square Food Bank distributes food at the Veterans & Community Resource Center (3090 E Centennial Pkwy) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m.

The Neighborhood Recreation Center and Silver Mesa Recreation Center offer distributions every other Thursday, starting November 6 and November 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other food pantries are also available. Calvary Downtown Outreach at 2101 E. Owens Ave. serves certain zip codes on Wednesdays and Thursdays…
