Food pantry expands to 6 days a week as SNAP benefits lapse

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Lines wrapped around the building as dozens of volunteers loaded boxes and filled trunks with food at the Just One Project distribution center, where the organization plans to feed nearly 1,000 families each day after expanding operations to six days a week at two locations for November.

The expansion comes as SNAP benefits will not be replenished for the month of November, affecting an estimated 495,000 Nevadans.
