Driver in Nevada trooper hit-and-run could serve 10 days in jail on weekends as part of deal

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A driver who drove off after a crash in Las Vegas involving a Nevada trooper could serve 10 days in jail on weekends as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

Mark Guyot, 51, initially faced several charges, including DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm. On Aug. 12, just before midnight, Guyot collided with a Nevada State Police Highway Patrol cruiser and injured the trooper inside, documents said.

The trooper was investigating a two-car crash in a construction zone on Interstate 15 southbound, north of the 215 Southern Beltway, a department spokesperson said after Guyot’s arrest. Police took Guyot into custody about 20 minutes later at the Silverton Casino, documents said…
