LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Nevada State Senate passed a bill Tuesday night during a special legislative session that would double fines for traffic violations in school zones and school crossing zones.
Assembly Bill 6 will now head back to the state Assembly, where they will have to agree on an amendment. The bill would double fines for traffic violations in school zones and give schools and local governments the flexibility to design zones themselves, rather than the process in place, which makes changes difficult and subject to lengthy approval processes.
