Families look for cheaper health insurance options as premiums rise

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It’s open enrollment time, and many people are concerned about increasing premium costs and health care affordability.

Andrew Paul is an independent contractor and has been shopping around for different plans as health insurance costs rise.

“If you want coverage for your family to feel safe and protected, there are really few options,” Paul explained. “It’s gone up for my family about $600 to $700 a month over 10 years, but something you can absorb over the 10 year period. Now it’s going up $600 to $700 in one year for next year, over $2,000 a month, so I needed to find an alternative.”…
