LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two brothers are accused of planning to “carry out attacks” against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Las Vegas, federal officials said Friday.
Police in Virginia arrested John Bennett and his brother, Mark Bennett, last week, accusing them of planning to harm federal agents in Nevada. John Bennett is an assistant principal at a high school, officials said.

The investigation began on Nov 17, when a police officer “overheard” the brothers “discussing plans to ‘kill police officers and ICE agents,’” federal officials said.
“Mark Bennett was also overheard saying he was planning to meet with like-minded individuals in Las Vegas… to purchase firearms with explosive rounds to carry out the attacks,” police said.
Police arrested Mark Bennett at the Norfolk, Virginia, airport as he prepared to travel to Las Vegas, officials said. Police later took John Bennett into custody…
