10 people displaced after east Las Vegas valley apartment fire

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Ten people were displaced after a fire tore through an east valley apartment on Wednesday morning.

According to the Clark County Fire Department, crews responded to a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in the 4300 block of Cy Cliffview Circle, near East Vegas Valley Drive and South Lamb Boulevard, on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at around 7:30 a.m.

A battalion chief on the scene told 8 News Now they believed the fire started outside of the building. A tree caught fire near the gas meters. When the fire reached the gas meters, it “acted like a jet,” and rapidly accelerated in the back and attic areas of the building.

Firefighters arrived and were able to knock down the fire within 10 minutes…
