LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A local nonprofit will be hosting an emergency blanket and coat drive this weekend to help those in the community experiencing homelessness.
With temperatures dropping and freezing nights coming soon, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is calling on the community to help donate new and gently used blankets and coats to help those who are experiencing homelessness stay warm this winter.
“Blankets are the primary and most critical need, followed closely by warm coats for men, women, and children,” Heather Engle, CEO of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, said. “We have seen a rise in individuals seeking shelter, and we are in immediate danger of running out of warm layers to distribute.”…
