LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — With Thanksgiving here, one local nonprofit is making sure some of our most vulnerable neighbors don’t spend the holiday alone.
Caridad, a group dedicated to humanizing the homeless, hosted a special Thanksgiving meal for residents at Hebron, one of its low-income housing communities.
“It’s really been a struggle with the food stamp cuts and changes the government has made, so food is important more than ever to our folks,” said Chief Kindness Officer Meredith Spriggs. “I would say about 95% of them are on fixed incomes.”…
