LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Construction on the Reimagine Boulder Highway project paused for the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday as the years-long improvement effort continues toward its July 2027 completion date. Construction started in August 2024.
The project reached a milestone last week when newly installed storm drains successfully handled heavy rains without significant flooding in areas near Lake Mead and Sunset that are typically flood-prone.
Project organizers said the drainage systems installed above and below ground worked as designed during the recent storms.
