Las Vegas police investigate shooting at west valley shopping center

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas Metro police are investigating a shooting in the west valley after a person was found injured.

Police told 8 News Now that officers were in the 700 block of South Rampart Boulevard at the Boca Park retail center on Thursday shortly after 5:30 p.m., conducting a follow-up on a wanted person, when they heard the sound of a gunshot.

Officers then found a person injured with a gunshot wound, and a medical team was called in to assist the person. Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police told 8 News Now that the person injured died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound…
