LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police identified the driver who was responsible for the fatal hit-and-run that happened back in May.

Stephon Watkins, 37, was arrested in Sacramento, California, and was transported to the Clark County Detention Center. Watkins is charged with hit-and-run and reckless driving charges.
The incident occurred on May 30, 2025, around 3:33 a.m. on West Flamingo Road and South Las Vegas Boulevard. Watkins was driving a 2016 BMW X5 when he hit a 29-year-old man who was crossing the intersection.
Watkins fled the scene and abandoned his vehicle just east of where the crash occurred.
Emergency personnel claimed the hit pedestrian was beyond resuscitation and pronounced him dead at the scene…
