Henderson police arrest 19, cite 11 during Black Friday crackdown

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — On Black Friday, officers with the Henderson Police Department arrested 19 people and issued citations to 11 more at popular retail stores in the valley.

According to a post from the HPD on Facebook, more than $5,200 in stolen merchandise was recovered during the operation held on Friday, Nov. 28.

“This successful operation was a true team effort, bringing together HPD Patrol, Traffic, Dispatch, and Investigations, along with our trusted retail partners and their Loss Prevention Officers, who work side by side with us to deter and prevent crime,” HPD wrote on the Facebook post.

The post said the department was “set up at a number of” popular retail stores in Henderson. It added that this year, retail theft operations like the Black Friday one have led to the recovery of more than $7,000 in stolen merchandise citywide.
