Las Vegas man arrested for fatal stabbing after release from jail

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 23-year-old man recently released from jail is accused of stabbing and killing a person he met the day before, documents said.

Mycah Moore faces a charge of open murder for stabbing and killing Zykier Jackson, 27, early in the morning on Sunday, Nov. 30, documents said. The Clark County coroner’s office determined Jackson died from the stab wounds and ruled his manner of death as homicide.

On Friday, Nov. 28, Jackson and another man met Moore in an apartment complex near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road. The men, believing Moore to be homeless, invited him into Jackson’s sister’s apartment, documents said. While smoking marijuana, and after “Mycah became paranoid and claimed numerous items inside the apartment belonged to him,” the men ordered Moore to leave.

The next night, Moore returned to the apartment and refused to leave. Jackson and Moore started exchanging punches when Moore allegedly stabbed and killed him, documents said…
