Ex-boxer turned Las Vegas police officer arrested for domestic battery

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A former professional boxer who became a Las Vegas police officer faces a domestic battery charge, records said.

Prosecutors filed the charge Friday against Melinda Cooper, 40, according to Las Vegas Justice Court records.

Cooper was “uncooperative” while in custody and released Friday on a $3,000 bond before seeing a judge, records said.
