LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman on the Las Vegas Strip on New Year’s Day.
The crash was reported shortly after 1 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard near Russell Road near Mandalay Bay Resort. Las Vegas Metropolitan police said evidence, video surveillance, and witness statements indicated that the woman was walking in the farthest left travel lane when a Cadillac struck her.
The woman, who is from Kansas, was transported to University Medical Center, where she died. The Clark County Coroner’s office will release her identity after the next of kin is notified…
