Man arrested for burglarizing nearly a dozen Las Vegas area businesses

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police have arrested a 27-year-old man they believe is responsible for burglarizing nearly a dozen businesses across the Las Vegas valley just before Christmas.

T’Shawn Allen was arrested in connection with the break-ins. According to police, officers began their investigation after multiple reports of commercial burglaries were filed throughout the valley on Dec. 21, in which the suspect “forcibly entered businesses where he stole merchandise and money.” Two days later, on Dec. 23, several additional burglaries were reported in the northwest valley and North Las Vegas.

Surveillance videos from multiple businesses show a hooded man smashing glass windows and crawling inside before stealing cash, alcohol, and other items. Police say surveillance footage from the businesses led them to believe that the crimes were committed by the same person.

Multiple businesses targeted

The burglaries affected restaurants and businesses near Sahara and Tenaya, including Café Lola, Pretty Soul Kitchen, Cobblestone Cottage, Thai Spa, Casa Mia Pizzeria, and Filo Grill Mediterranean Restaurant.

At Café Lola’s, the suspect first smashed a glass door but had to pry through the glass because of security film, said owner Michael Santos. He estimated repairs at $2,500 for the tempered glass…
