Las Vegas, Nevada – Drivers heading into the higher elevations northwest of Las Vegas are facing dangerous travel conditions overnight as snow and strong winds continue to impact the Spring Mountains, including Mount Charleston and Red Rock Canyon.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through early Monday morning for elevations above 7,000 feet in the Spring Mountains. Snow accumulations of 1 to 5 inches are expected between 7,000 and 9,000 feet, with totals increasing to as much as 8 inches above 9,000 feet.
