Amid recent squatter and vagrant cases, interest in performing a citizen’s arrest grows

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Recent squatter and vagrant cases have people wondering, ‘How can we stop this?’ One possible solution for some is a citizen’s arrest. Emphasis on ‘some’.

Sidney Kile, CEO of S.K. Security, explained that his team is authorized to make citizens’ arrests on clients’ properties under specific conditions. “It is under certain stringent rules and distinctions,” Kile said. He emphasized that while they can assess situations when witnessing a crime, S.K. Security often collaborates with law enforcement. “We try and work well with the police and have them make the final call,” Kile said.
