Las Vegas police officer avoids jail time in domestic violence case

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Metro police officer will avoid jail time after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge.

The 8 News Now Investigators first reported Las Vegas Metro police officer Gary Moody’s December arrest on charges of domestic battery and preventing or dissuading a person from reporting a crime. Moody joined the department in 2022 as a recruit and works in the Bolden Area Command.
