Nevada Highway Patrol vehicle hit on Las Vegas freeway; Trooper taken to hospital

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was taken to a hospital Monday morning after their vehicle was hit on a Las Vegas freeway.

At around 8:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, an NHP trooper responded to a motorist assist on northbound I-15 just north of West Sahara Avenue.

While assisting a stranded motorist, the trooper’s vehicle was hit from behind, NHP said in a release. The trooper was in the vehicle when it was hit.

Medical personnel took the trooper to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, police said…
