Health district aware of possible bed bugs at Henderson high school

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Southern Nevada Health District tells 8 News Now it’s aware of reports of bed bugs at a high school in Henderson.

8 News Now reported last December that administrators notified parents at Basic Academy of International Studies of a case of bed bugs.

In an email to 8 News Now on Tuesday, the Southern Nevada Health District said there is no indication of a bed bug infestation within the school, but Basic Academy is still working with a licensed pest control company and implementing precautionary measures.

Last week, CCSD told 8 News Now, “It continues to monitor the Basic Academy campus for any signs of bed bugs related to cases reported by individuals associated with the campus.”…
