North Las Vegas community shaken after racial vandalism

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Over the last month, racially offensive graffiti has been reported on a gate at the Jasmine Ranch Condominiums in North Las Vegas, according to residents. After 8 News Now reached out to the HOA regarding the claims, the HOA responded that it had been removed within 24 hours.

“I thought we were over the racial slurs and everything,” said resident Princess Edwards. “Why would you go ahead and put that there? That’s disrespectful to anyone, really.”

She continued, “We’re not going to move because somebody is being disrespectful to our culture. I hope that they get caught.”

“There has been somebody in the neighborhood who’s been putting it in various different places,” shared resident Brandy Masterson. “I think it’s a disgusting thing, and it’s not representative of what I want our community to be at all.”
