Las Vegas – An unhoused man lost his life Wednesday evening when he entered traffic outside a crosswalk and collided with a southbound pickup truck on Boulder Highway.[1][2]

Authorities reported the crash occurred just after 5:20 p.m. near Missouri Avenue, southeast of Tropicana Avenue in the east Las Vegas Valley. The pedestrian darted into the roadway, prompting the fatal impact with the oncoming vehicle.[1]
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lieutenant Charles Jenkins described the sequence in a statement to media outlets. “An unhoused individual darted out into traffic on Boulder Hwy outside of a crosswalk and was struck by a pickup truck traveling in the southbound lanes,” he said.[1]…
