Speeding Biker Dies In Westside Smashup On Washington Ave

A late-night crash near Las Vegas’ Historic Westside turned deadly Wednesday, after a motorcyclist was critically injured and later died, authorities said. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and shut down a stretch of Washington Avenue for hours while investigators tried to sort out what happened.

Crash details and road closure

The collision happened shortly after 8 p.m. at Washington and Oasis avenues, just off Rancho Drive, and involved a motorcycle and a sedan, according to FOX5. First responders took the rider to a hospital, where the motorcyclist later died.

Police closed Washington Avenue in both directions from Rancho Drive to Oasis Avenue for about four hours while traffic investigators documented the scene and crews cleared the wreckage.

A string of deadly crashes
