Wind, rain headed into the valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clouds have blocked the sunshine as we’re waking up on a Tuesday morning. The sun is trying to poke through, but we’ll stay partly cloudy to mostly cloudy ahead of the next weather pattern.

We are looking at back-to-back storms through next week as a low off the Pacific slides inland, bringing abundant moisture to the Sierra. Remnants of this system could bring 1 to 3 inches of snow to Lee and Kyle canyons in the next 24 hours.

Breezy winds will pick up this afternoon, at 5-10 mph, with stronger winds expected tomorrow. Some areas outside Las Vegas will see strong winds. There’s a wind advisory for Lake Mead and Mohave, 15-25 mph. There’s also a wind advisory for south-central and central Nevada, where wind speeds are expected to be 20-30 mph…
