LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — About three dozen business owners and residents gathered Tuesday night to discuss the impact of increased parking rates in the Arts District, with many saying the higher fees are hurting their businesses.
The City of Las Vegas raised parking rates from $2 to $4 an hour in October. The community meeting at Taverna Costera restaurant gave stakeholders a chance to develop demands to present to the city later this month.
Business owners report customer complaints
Kristen Corral, co-founder of Tacotarian, said she’s given refunds in the past month to customers.
“I’ve probably had to give ten refunds in the last month to customers who come to pick up food and get ticketed in the to minutes those parking people are quick,” Corral said…
