LVMPD promotes first African American woman corrections captain

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department marked a historic milestone this July with the promotion of Sheree Page, who has become the first African American female to serve as a Corrections Captain in the agency’s history.

Captain Page’s journey with LVMPD began in 1997, when she joined the department as a Law Enforcement Support Technician. Her drive to serve and lead propelled her forward as she tested into Corrections, rose to the rank of Sergeant, then continued shattering barriers by becoming LVMPD’s first African American female Corrections Lieutenant.
